QB Counter

In this clip, we look at QB counter. Using your QB as the ball carrier is a great way to get numbers in the run game. And holding the backside with jet action creates even more of a match up advantage. If you run jet sweep, this is a great counter off of that motion. The backside end and outside backer have to respect the jet motion. This means you will have numbers on the playside. If your QB can run at all, you should get some big plays with this concept.

There are a lot of ways to run Counter. If you have an athletic QB, this is probably my favorite. Spreading the defense out with an empty formation gives you so many options in the run and the pass game. If your QB is effective with his legs, this will be one of your go to running plays.
